Shams of Tabriz Mosque and Tomb, Karatay, Konya, Turkey

Şerafettin Mosque is located in Şems Park which is a former cemetery to the north. Today’s building was enlarged and enlarged in 1510 by Abdurrezakoğlu Emir Ishak Bey together with the mosque. It is claimed that the first work was done in the 13th century. However, it is unknown who built it. Adjacent to the mosque part, the inner ceiling is covered with pyramidal cones on the octagonal drum from the outside. The tomb, which is in the form of a pavilion, is opened by a wooden Bursa arch decorated with pencil work. In other directions, there are two windows, one at the bottom and the other at the top. There is no mold on the turban walls. The ceiling is decorated with geometric motifs. If it is said that there is a well below the covered sandukan, it is understood that it is not a well but a pumice in the result of the researches.
