Seefeldsee Lake & Hike, Sachseln, Switzerland

On the Älggialp, above the centre of Switzerland, is situated the beautiful Seefeldsee at a height of 1819m above sea level.From the Älggialp, the lake is accessible within 40 minutes on foot. It is known among fishers who catch river trout, rainbow trout, char, lake trout and burbot from the lake. Fishing in Seefeldsee begins on 15th June and generally lasts until the end of September. In the Alpine hut of “Hermi von Ah”, situated a little above the lake, Alpine cheese and butter can be bought during the summer months.
