Sebastian Mackensen is a seasoned automotive executive currently serving as the President and CEO of BMW North America. He took over the role in 2021, succeeding Bernhard Kuhnt. Mackensen has had a long and successful career with the BMW Group, having worked in various leadership capacities across the globe.
Before his current role, Mackensen was responsible for leading BMW’s operations in Germany. Prior to that, he headed the MINI brand, where he played a key role in revitalizing and expanding MINI’s global presence.
