Schwetzingen was the summer residence of the Electors Palatine Charles III Philip and Charles IV Theodore. Schwetzingen Castle, the splendid summer residence of the Kurpfalz court in the Baroque, is famous for the beauty and harmony of its castle garden far beyond the national borders. Its diversity can be admired even today in the original state.

Schwetzingen was the summer residence for the Palatine electors of the 18th century. The hunting castle was elegantly furnished for this purpose – and the famous garden was created: a complete work of art of European rank in perfect condition.
