Schote Gourmet restaurant by Nelson Müller

The charismatic chef with Ghanaian roots grew up in Stuttgart, cooked in top-class restaurants from Swabia to Sylt and now runs his own restaurant in the Ruhr area.

“There is sunshine and sunshine,” people from the Ruhr area like to say, meaning something like: “There are such and such people, you can’t do anything about them.” Not only are people different, the moods of each and every one of us also change off – there are sunny days and sunny days. You can respond to this, not least from a culinary point of view, and that is exactly what Nelson Müller and his team from the Pod have set out to do. “We all need food that embraces the soul,” says the star chef, who wants to convey a feeling of life to his guests at the Schote restaurant in Essen with his dishes. The popular Michelin-starred chef achieves this by taking them on a culinary journey.
