The program of the Sandau & Leo Gallery, opened in September 2017, is distinguished by a fusion of tradition and innovation. Dr. Doris Leo, with her extensive experience in art dealing and exhibition activities, upholds the tradition by continuing the legacy of the former Leo.Coppi Gallery, founded in 1991.
In collaboration with Jörg Sandau, they continue to work with numerous artists such as painters Herta Günther, Ulrich Gleiter, Ulrike Hahn, Konrad Knebel, Wolfgang Leber, Harald Metzkes, Ulrike Pisch, Klaus Schiffermüller, Reinhard Stangl, as well as sculptors Sylvia Hagen, Michael Jastram, Robert Metzkes, Werner Stötzer, and graphic artists Arno Mohr and Klaus Süß.
Doris Leo and Jörg Sandau embrace the challenge of maintaining this program’s high quality while introducing new perspectives. Alongside painting, paper works, graphics, and sculptures, the gallery will also showcase photographic works in the future. Discovering and promoting young artists who expand the existing figurative program into non-figurative realms remains a continuous endeavor.
Sandau & Leo Gallery is a member of the Federal Association of German Galleries and Art Dealers (BVDG) and the State Association of Berlin Galleries (LVBG).
