Most international airlines operating at SFO only staff their check-in counters 3-4 hours before departure on the days they are flying. TSA Pre✓™
Under TSA Pre✓™ U.S. citizens traveling domestically who are select American and United Airlines’ frequent travelers or members of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler programs are now eligible to participate and may receive expedited screening benefits. The TSA Pre✓™ lane is located at Terminal 2 for American passengers and Terminal 3, Checkpoint F-3 for United passengers.
TSA Pre✓™ Application Center
Travelers may now enroll in the TSA Pre✓™ program at SFO. To get started, pre-enroll online and visit SFO’s application center to provide:
- biographic information (e.g. name, date of birth, address, etc.),
- fingerprints,
- valid required identity and citizenship/immigration documentation, and
- an application fee of $85 for a five-year membership.
Location: International Terminal, pre-security, near the BART station.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Expedited Immigration
Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Upon arrival in the U.S. from international travel, Global Entry members are able to bypass the traditional CBP inspection lines and use automated kiosks.
Valet Parking
ParkVALET is the ultimate convenience SFO Parking has to offer. Just follow the signs on the Departures Level of the Domestic Terminals roadway–opposite the new control tower–and be greeted by a valet attendant. Then you are on your way, complete with a complimentary copy of the Wall Street Journal.
Airline Lounges
Many of the airlines operating at SFO offer their frequent and premium passengers lounge access. Check with your airline for entry requirements, hours of operation, and services provided.
Shower Facilities
Freshen Up offers travelers the ability to rent a private shower room to tidy up between flights. It is located in the International Terminal Main Hall, near the Security Checkpoint for the G Gates, pre-security. Need soap and shampoo? No problem. Freshen Up also sells travel-size bath and toiletry products.
Business Center
TripTel Business Center in the International Terminal Main Hall has mobile phone rentals, Internet access, fax and copying services. Advanced reservations are recommended for cell phone rentals.
