Saloum Delta for Bird Watching, Senegal

This is a bird reserve of 2000 hectares, stretching over 15 kilometres and with a width of nearly 1 kilometre, between the Senegal river and the sea. You can see various species of birds here: nesting populations of colonial birds; many aquatic birds such as flamingos, pelicans and cormorants; different herons species like sterna, larus and gretta; and wintering species like pelecanus, ardea cinerea and larus.
