Sabah Al Ahmad Sea City Marina
Sabah Al Ahmad Sea City (formally known as Al Khiran Pearl City) is a major marine development project some 100kms south of Kuwait City, close to the Saudi Arabian boarder. This unique civil engineering project is larger than Manhattan A planned community in built with canals forming 200 kilometres of artificial shoreline. The community is intended to house 250,000 residents. The city was inaugurated in mid 2015. The artificial islands that make up the area are unusual because they were built excavating large channels in desert land rather than using reclaimed land.
