Ruine Radegg, Wilchingen, Switzerland

The gentlemen of Rossberg owned estates in Osterfingen, Löhningen, Beringen, Guntmadingen and Trasadingen.

The Radegg, an impressive pastime, stands defiantly above the Weinbaudorfes Easterfingen in sunny Klettgau. On the southern slope of the Rossberg in Osterfingen, on a steep mountain spur, lies the castle ruin Radegg. Through the west wall, where a wooden bridge is now attached, a drawbridge and a castle gate probably led into the house. The assumption suggests the castle, around 1270, which is destroyed in fighting with the surrounding nobility. The arch and crossbow arrows found on the site of the forerunners as well as the fire trails point to this downfall.
