Five remarkable audio tours bring you a new and unique perspective on the lives of the people who lived and worked in the grand mansions of Newport. Based on diaries, letters, records and oral histories, these audio tours offer the personal stories of the men and women who lived in each house and the household staff who cared for them.

You’ll receive state-of-the-art audio players to guide you through tours at The Breakers, The Elms, Marble House and Rosecliff.
At The Breakers, you have a choice of the main tour or the children’s tour, which brings you a talking house and a flying dragon! This imaginative audio tour brings the great house to life for visitors of all ages.

Docent-led tours are provided at Chateau-sur-Mer, Chepstow, Hunter House, Isaac Bell House, and Kingscote. Green Animals Topiary Garden allows you to explore the property on your own with a printed map and guide.

Rosecliff, built 1898-1902, is one of the Gilded Age mansions of Newport, Rhode Island, now open to the public as a historic house museum. The house has also been known as the Hermann Oelrichs House or the J. Edgar Monroe House.
