Rio Star Ferris Wheel
The Rio Star is an 88-meter (289-foot) tall Ferris wheel located in the Porto Maravilha (Marvelous Port) district of Rio de Janeiro. It’s a relatively new attraction that provides breathtaking panoramic views of the city, including sights you’ve heard about, like the Christ the Redeemer statue, Sugarloaf Mountain, the Museum of Tomorrow, and the Guanabara Bay.
The Rio Star has 54 modern, air-conditioned cabins, each with a capacity for up to eight people. The ride is smooth and offers a unique, elevated perspective of Rio’s landscape and urban revival in the Port area. It’s a great choice for families, and its accessibility features make it an inclusive experience for all visitors. While the wheel doesn’t offer night rides, the sunset views can be absolutely spectacular, with the city’s lights beginning to twinkle as the sun goes down.
