Ride the Ducks of Seattle, Seattle, Washington, USA

In 1997, Ride the Ducks of Seattle opened with a Duck and a dream: to provide the ultimate experience in Seattle by land and water. What started with a small group of dedicated individuals, striving for excellence in entertainment and customer service, has grown into one of the largest tour companies in Seattle and one of the most successful amphibious tour companies in the world!

DUKWs are likely the most unique craft you’ll see on the road or in the water, but what makes Ride the Ducks of Seattle exceptional is the people who work here. We now employ more than 120 people in our Ride the Ducks of Seattle family. We have almost forty Tour Guides, many of whom we are able to employ year-round and a full-time team of nine highly-skilled, heavy-duty mechanics. Our friendly customer service team and a powerhouse leadership team of intuitive, thoughtful individuals are constantly striving to improve our guest experience with customer-driven decision making. In fact, our number one focus has been and always will be taking care of our guests to make the Ride the Ducks experience unforgettable and safe.

While our tours may appear to be focused on the entertainment side of the business, safety is always our #1 concern and we take it very seriously. All our Captains hold a United States Coast Guard Master’s license, as well as a commercial driver’s license, are CPR and First Aid certified and must complete a rigorous training program before any paying-passengers board their Duck. Our fleet of DUKWs is annually inspected by the USCG and bi-annually by the DOT and our paperwork files are audited frequently by both organizations. There are redundant safety systems onboard and our Operations Manual has been used as a prototype for amphibious tours around the country. Our goal is always to exceed the requirements of regulatory agencies and set the standard for others to follow.

Ride the Ducks of Seattle is locally-owned and operated and we’ve built our business by caring about our guests, their experience and the Seattle community. We love Seattle. We have been voted Best City Tour by King 5’s Evening Magazine for the past eight years and are consistently recognized as one of Seattle’s top attractions. In 2014, we began our Random Ducks of Kindness campaign and have a blast paying it forward to our community and local organizations. Each year, we also donate more than $10,000 in tickets to non-profit organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest. We are committed to continuing to foster our mutually-beneficial relationships with the neighborhoods, communities and our partners throughout Seattle. Tourism is one of Washington State’s largest industries and we’re proud to be a part of it.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to all of our partners, fans and, most of all, our employees for making us the success that we are today.
