Ribeiro Beach, Praia da Costa, State of Espirito Santo, Brazil

Prainha do Ribeiro is a small stretch of beach where fishermen dock their boats. It has historical value because it was there that the first donation of the Captainship of the Holy Spirit, Vasco Fernandes Coutinho, resided there. It has a road that surrounds Morro do Moreno , providing a beautiful view of the bay of Vitoria and the Third Bridge.

In the afternoon, and especially at weekends, you can see the boats coming loaded with fish and meet great figures, like the fisherman Manél, who until today (30 years of sea) did not learn to swim. While cleaning a puffer here and a peroá there, he is telling his stories

In front, there is the beautiful Baleia Island, a private island whose access is by boat and through the license of its owner.

To get to Praia do Ribeiro, head towards the Santa Luzia Lighthouse. As soon as you pass the Governor’s residence entrance, take the first left. There’s no mistaking it.
