Rhein River Promenade, Dusseldorf, Germany

The popular and idilic Rhine promenade covers the streets Tonhallenufer , Schlossufer , Rathausufer and Mannesmannufer. The Promenade was built over a Ufervorverschiebung around 1900.

After World War II, the Rhine promenade was remodeled for a highway. Instead of the promenade, a multi-lane road was created, which separated the inner city from the Rhine by its barrier.
