Contemporary takes on schnitzel & goulash served with Austrian wines in a refined dining room. It’s often said that opening your own restaurant fulfills a dream. As cliché as that may sound, that’s exactly what we did in the spring of 2010 with the opening of Restaurant Lohninger on the banks of the River Main in Frankfurt. After long-standing collaboration, we, the Lohninger family and team, founded Lohninger GmbH and developed our very own restaurant concept that introduces the diversity of Austrian cuisine to Frankfurters and visitors from around the world, complemented by Mediterranean, Asian, and American elements.
Located on the ground floor of an elegant old building, with high, individually adorned ceilings, a timeless color scheme in gray and purple, custom-made wooden furniture, and an open spatial design, rusticity meets urban Art Nouveau. In close proximity to the museum embankment, various cultures converge through different culinary styles.
We invite you to experience the authentic character of Austria with us – the conviviality, cheerfulness, and coziness combined with contemporary, light elements. A completely relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere is important to us. Whether for a quick breather during lunchtime or a multi-course dinner in the evening, we are here for you five days a week.
