Questacon – The National Science and Technology Centre is one of Australia’s premier science museums, located in Canberra. It was established to promote scientific education and engagement for people of all ages. Opened in 1988, Questacon offers interactive exhibits, workshops, and shows that make learning about science and technology fun and accessible.

The center houses over 200 hands-on exhibits spread across eight galleries, covering topics like physics, biology, astronomy, and robotics. Highlights include Earthquake House, which simulates a real earthquake, and Free Fall, where visitors experience a moment of weightlessness. Questacon also features a science theatre for live demonstrations, and it runs educational programs aimed at inspiring young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Questacon plays a major role in fostering public understanding of science and regularly hosts touring exhibits, outreach programs, and science festivals, making it a popular destination for both tourists and school groups.
