Queen Victoria Museum, Invermay, Tasmania, Australia

The Inveresk site is home to the preserved railway workshops and permanent exhibition Tasmanian Connections which reveals a range of stories as told by the Museum’s social history and natural science collections in six striking installations. Visitors can see dinosaurs, death masks, planes soaring high above and artefacts from Australia’s oldest merchant shipwreck, the Sydney Cove.

Inveresk also features the Phenomena Factory, a free-entry interactive science centre providing hands-on education for kids of all ages, The Blacksmith Shop, Transforming the Island and QVMAG Planetarium.

Free guided tours of The Blacksmith Shop take place on Sundays at 1pm. If you would like to attend a tour, please meet your guide at the reception desk.
