The Leonardesco Port of Cesenatico is one of the most important monuments of the city. The port – channel as we know it today was built in the sixteenth century from original drawing by Leonardo da Vinci, of 1502, and on the basis of an existing port channel. For centuries, it is the nerve center of the city.
