Place de la Concorde Olympic Venue

Olympic Games

Basketball (3×3) | Breaking | BMX Freestyle | Skateboarding Park/Street

Paris 2024 made a strong commitment to organise spectacular Games that take place outside of traditional stadiums, right in the heart of the capital. Place de La Concorde will temporarily become an open stage where urban sports take place in their original playground, the city centre. Not only is this an excellent example of Paris 2024’s vision coming to life, it also paves the way for Paris City Council to make significant changes to the area in the long run. Linking the most beautiful avenue in the world – the Champs-Élysées – to the Tuileries Gardens, La Concorde will showcase spectacular, dynamic and modern sports against a backdrop of Parisian heritage.

The largest square in Paris will see four sports – as well as a number of activities and shows – take centre stage during the Olympic Games: skateboarding, BMX freestyle, 3×3 basketball and, for the first time, the long-awaited discipline, breaking. Spectators, athletes and viewers will be able
to enjoy exceptional images and an experience that lives up to their expectations of the world’s largest sporting event. Just a stone’s throw away from a number of other iconic competition venues, such as the Champ-de-Mars Arena and the Invalides, La Concorde will be at the heart of an authentic urban park surrounded by the many monuments dotted around the city centre, making Games history.
