Piazza Caduti per la Libertà is a significant square located in the heart of Ravenna, Italy. Constructed in the 1930s, it was initially named Piazza Littorio and designed as a Fascist forum. The square resulted from an urban redevelopment plan aimed at reorganizing the Zona Dantesca, reflecting the architectural and ideological trends of that era.
On one side of the square stands the Palazzo della Provincia, designed by architect Giulio Ulisse Arata and inaugurated in 1928. This building was erected on the site of the former residence of the influential Rasponi family, which had been transformed into the luxurious Grand Hotel Byron in the late 19th century.
