Penotte Island District of Penotte Island, Les Sables-d’Olonne, Pays de la Loire, France

Penotte Island, between port and beach, is a pretty little neighborhood that used to be popular and not very enlightened, made up of winding, twisting and whirling alleys.

They are called here “alleys” and their names are sometimes astonishing: rue Travot, rue d’Assas, rue Trompeuse , rue des Corderies or Rue des Bains …

In the 1990s, the streets were repaved and the rehabilitated neighborhood became, thanks to its privileged position, very fashionable.

And it is in 1997 that Danièle, “Dan”, Sablaise of origin, is definitively established there, year which also marks the beginning of its realizations in shells.
