Pavilions of Bercy

Pavilions of Bercy – Museum of Fairground Arts

The Pavilions of Bercy house 4 different areas:

The Museum of Fairground Arts
The Theater of Wonderful
The Venetian Salons
The Theater of Greenery

Full of history, these places receive more than 200,000 visitors each year , or through functions or individual and group visits. Each area has a particular theme: 19th-century fairgrounds at the Museum of Fairground Arts, carnival in the Venetian Salons, cabinets of curiosity in the Theater of Wonderful and amazing gardens in the Theater of Greenery.

Jean Paul Favand, the founder of the museums, is the biggest collection in Europe. The decor mixes tradition with modernity and the short-lived with the long lasting to bring the items to life. The unique place, a real laboratory of ideas, uses the latest technology in video projection to reveal the soul of heritage objects, to get your imagination going and welcome you to this world of daydreams.

The French Ministry for the Economy, Industry and Employment has awarded the living heritage label to the Museum of Fairground Arts for its expertise in the preservation and presentation of heritage fairground and show items.
