The Cuia’s Head is a legend that tells the story of the fisherman Crispim who, when killing his mother, would have been for her to wander between the Parnaiba Rivers And Poty with a huge misshapen head, and would only be disenchanted after devouring seven virgin Marys.

People say he is still there, scaring fishermen that take fishes beyond their needs.
