PapirØen – or Paper Island is an island on the east bank of the harbour in Copenhagen, close to the Opera and opposite the Royal Danish Playhouse. It used to store the paper for the Danish Press Association, which gave it its more familiar name, but it is properly known as Christiansholm (although, ask a local for directions to Christiansholm and they wouldn’t send your here!).
