Pan di Zucchero e faraglioni di Masua, Iglesias, Italy

Resembling a huge clod saccharine suspended in the sea, the island of Sugarloaf creates the evocative scenic setting admirable from Coogee Beach in the bay of Masua, located along the coast of Iglesias. A limestone cliff, 133 m high, characterized by a light color and the surface plates steps which covers 3.72 hectares, in the south and north walls pierced by two large arches inside that create karst with passable even in tunnels boat. The island was formed by the erosion and removal of Punta Is Cicalas mainland. In the vicinity, observing the monument by the greater of the island, you can see the cliffs of Porto Flavia, where we can admire the homonymous mine tunnel, from where the ore was shipped directly. All around the cliffs rise up to 100-160 m.
