It is a late Gothic building which was built in 1421 as headquarters of the Generalitat Valenciana, which is responsible for representing the Kingdom of Valencia before the Courts. In the sixteenth century it is added a Renaissance tower by Juan Corbera, decorated with classical pediments over the windows and Renaissance iconography.
