Omsk fortress, historical and cultural complex, Omsk, Omskaya Oblast, Russia

There are different points of view as to how the first Omsk fortress looked. The first version says that the Omsk fortress had a pentagonal shape. According to another version (AD Kolesnikov), the fortress had the form of a regular quadrangle with bastions at the corners:

  • The eastern wall ran from the Duma building to the intersection of the streets of Postal and Strike;
  • The southern bastion – to the middle of the block between the street of Rabfakovskaya and the avenue of Karl Marx;
  • Western – the territory of the street. 10 years of October, at the bridgehead.
