Olympic Stadium, Berlin, Germany

The Olympiastadion Berlin is a sports stadium in Berlin. It was originally built for the 1936 Summer Olympics by Werner March. During the Olympics, the record attendance was thought to be over 100,000. Today the stadium is part of the Olympiapark Berlin.

Since renovations in 2004, the Olympiastadion has a permanent capacity of 74,475 seats and is the largest stadium in GermanySince its reopening in August of 2004, more than 300.000 visitors from around the world come to the Olympiastadion Berlin every year, thus making the stadium one of the most frequented sights of Berlin. Since August 1, 2011 you can also visit the Olympiapark Berlin and have a look at the exhibit at the Langemarckhalle. You can also enjoy the panorama view from the top of the ‘Glockenturm’ bell tower by paying a separated entrance fee.
