Old-Tikhvin Church of the Ascension, Torzhok, Tver Oblast, Russia
This was the first church we visited in Torzhok. It’s a wooden church where restoration work is still in progress. This church was built on the ruins of a 12th century church and the foundations can be still found. The church is situated on high ground and you can see the entire city along the river from here.
