Neal Mohan CEO YouTube

Neal Mohan is an Indian-American business executive, who is the fourth and current CEO of YouTube. He succeeded Susan Wojcicki on February 16, 2023.

Alphabet-owned Google named Neal Mohan as CEO of its video-sharing platform YouTube, following Susan Wojcicki’s decision to step down from the leadership role after nine years at the helm. This makes Mohan the latest Indian American to secure a top job at a tech company. Interestingly, he has been named to the role of CEO under the leadership of Sundar Pichai, who heads Alphabet, the parent company of tech giant Google.

Neal Mohan, now CEO of YouTube, is a Google veteran who joined the company in 2008. He started his career with Accenture as a senior analyst after graduating from Stanford with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • As Chief Product Officer at YouTube, Mohan was responsible for “YouTube products, user experience, and trust and safety globally,” according to his LinkedIn profile. He has been with the company since 2015.
  • Prior to 2015, Mohan served as Senior VP of display and ads at Google. In this role, he was responsible for the tech giant’s display and video advertising business.
  • Mohan graduated from the Stanford Graduate School of Business with an MBA in General Management in 2005.
