Neal Mohan is an Indian-American business executive, who is the fourth and current CEO of YouTube. He succeeded Susan Wojcicki on February 16, 2023.
Alphabet-owned Google named Neal Mohan as CEO of its video-sharing platform YouTube, following Susan Wojcicki’s decision to step down from the leadership role after nine years at the helm. This makes Mohan the latest Indian American to secure a top job at a tech company. Interestingly, he has been named to the role of CEO under the leadership of Sundar Pichai, who heads Alphabet, the parent company of tech giant Google.
Neal Mohan, now CEO of YouTube, is a Google veteran who joined the company in 2008. He started his career with Accenture as a senior analyst after graduating from Stanford with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
YouTube is an American online video-sharing and social media platform owned by Google. It was launched on February 14, 2005, by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim. It is the second most visited website, right after Google itself.
