National Museum, Monrovia, Liberia

The museum’s collection was depleted during the war years, but renovations have created space for photo and art exhibitions as well as the ethnic and historical exhibits. Check out founding father JJ Roberts’ dining table – a gift from England’s Queen Victoria – as well as paintings and items representing Liberian tribal cultures. The building was the former legislature.
