Nafood Aloraiq Reserve
Nafud al-‘Urayq Natural Reserve is a protected area in Saudi Arabia managed by the Saudi Wildlife Authority. The natural reserve is located in Najd in central Saudi Arabia and occupying approximately 2036.1 km². It was listed as a protected area in 1995.
The ancient Nafud Reserve is a natural reserve with an area of 1960 square kilometers, and consists mostly of widespread sand dunes covered with beautiful Ghada trees. It is characterized by sandy gravel plains and some granite and basalt mountains. It also enjoys a good vegetation cover. The area, which gives it a distinctive ecological diversity.
