Musikkpaviljongen, Bergen, Hordaland, Norway
The central part of the city park, which has roots back from Mortmannshagen, is the park between the Permanent and Telegraph building, and between Olav Kyrre gate and Christie’s gate. The music pavilion thrives centrally on the middle lawn, and in summer it is a very popular photomotive, encircled as it is of a bulky and colorful bed of summer flowers.
The walls in the room can be said to be formed by the adjacent urban rocks as of the surrounding façade racks. To the northeast and to the east, this is particularly evident. The mountain side up towards the Fløir restaurant and the distant Ulriken creates walls in the large landscape room.
The smaller parkroom around the water is bounded by the façades of the Kaigaten to the north-east and the eastern library. The bypass also sometimes represents an appraisal here.
To the south and south-west there is the Løvstakken and Damsgårdsfjellet, which borders the large landscape space, while the “CODE” buildings and the Grieghallen border the more intimate parkroom. The “CODE” buildings were recently known as Bergen Art Museum.
