Museum Rayimi, Koudougou, Burkina Faso

The Rayimi Museum, was inaugurated on July 17, 2010 in the course of the Issouka chief in Koudougou. This is the result of a long journey whose main stages are exposed in this story.

Indeed, Naaba Saaga 1st of Yisuka, after his studies had found almost nothing belonging to his father. Touched in his own love, this shock turns into a revolt but a positive revolt. He starts searching for his lost memory. The call of the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Communication for the repatriation of documentary funds of the country resonates for him as “go to war”.

Naaba Saaga 1st of Yisuka, this thirsty for culture, finds the opportune moment to make his contribution.

He met Claude de Beauminy, the son of the first commander of Koudougou during the colonial era during one of his many trips to France. He managed to convince him, without much difficulty, to retrocede the photographs made by his father.
