Museum of London Docklands
The Museum of London is an award-winning, charitable institution funded by a variety of organisations and individuals including the City of London Corporation and GLA. The Museum of London’s charity number is 1139250. Little could archivists of a small piece of Roman mosaic have imagined the museum growing into the urban and social history centre visitors see today. We now receive over a million visitors to our museums each year. This is a really interesting and worthwhile museum, covering the history of London’s Docklands from the beginning until the present, taking in details such as the trades that were undertaken, slavery, housing, strikes and modern developments.
