Museum of Human Sciences

National Museums and Monuments is merely coordinating the International Museums Day on behalf of heritage and cultural lovers of Zimbabwe.

The celebrations which shall be done at the Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences (one of our five major museums) are open to all Zimbabweans who have a need to access their heritage, regardless of color, age or creed. For this year, entrance to the hosting museum (ZMHS) is waivered for two days (17 & 19 May) while 18 May remains our traditional open day in all museums in the country to allow for uninhibited enjoyment of the national heritage and culture by all Zimbabweans.

Thus, the International Museums Day is a time for parents, guardians, teachers, schoolers, traditional leaders, cultural associations etc to converge and celebrate the diversity of Zimbabwe’s heritage. Moreso, it is a time to come and witness as well as support the young generation showcasing their aptitude in heritage awareness as they tackle heritage quiz questions, challenging even to the adult minds.
