Take a journey through history, experience life in the past, and learn about Swedish cultural heritage at Kulturen in Lund – Museum of Cultural History and Open-Air Museum. With more than two million items on display, the museum tells the story of Swedish, and especially Scanian, life from the Middle Ages to modern times. Learn about the history of the written word, admire the collections of historical weaponry, jewelry, and handicrafts, and see furniture, toys, and artworks that were once a part of the local households. A special treat are the preserved and recreated urban and rural houses and farms, where you can observe reenactments of daily life of bygone times. Admission to the museum is free for visitors under the age of 19.
