Museum National Du Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso
Created in 1962, the National Museum remained very long in the state of project. In July 1999, a management team was set up to finalize this project. The foundation stone of the future National Museum was laid by the Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism on October 23, 2000.
The new Direction’s mission is to monitor the construction site and set up the National Museum whose inauguration is scheduled to take place in 2005. The National Museum is under construction, on a 29-hectare site located at the end of the avenue. Charles-de-Gaulle, facing the pediatric hospital. At the end of the project, the ensemble will consist of: an administrative building, four 250m² exhibition pavilions each, a building housing the “reserves” and the object processing laboratory, a small building of reception.
