Museum Complex of Military Glory Omsk, Omskaya oblast, Russia 

The history of the museum dates back to the end of the XIX century. Then, on June 8, 1878, the Minister of the Interior, Adjutant General AE Timashev, approved the Regulations on the West Siberian Department of the Imperial Russian Geographical Society, according to which a museum was established at the department, the first in Omsk Priority Hye. The origins of its creation were outstanding scientists, travelers, researchers of Siberia.

A special role in the creation of the department, and later of the museum, was played by the governor-general of Western Siberia, NGKaznakov, who provided significant support at the outset of his existence.
