Museum Appenzell, Appenzell, Switzerland
The Appenzell Museum is devoted to the rural, catholic-influenced cultural history of the Canton Appenzell Innerrhoden. The focus is on topics of folklore and popular everyday culture. These include the once world-famous Appenzell hand embroidery as well as the peasant and furniture painting, the history of tourism or the popular piety. Special exhibitions extend and expand the topics.
