Attracting visitors who want to get a closer look at the seringal man’s way of being and living, the Seringal Vila Paraiso Museum was inaugurated on August 16, 2002, and is the largest tourist and cultural project of the State Government, as it shows the era Of the Rubber Cycle and offers a broad overview of the situation of the rubber plantations at that time.
The result of the Amazon Film Pole, it was originally created to serve as a set for filming the series “A Selva”, directed by Leonel Vieira in a free adaptation of the work of the Portuguese writer Ferreira de Castro, which returns to the historical past characterizing the economy and Amazonian society in the early twentieth century.
