Musei di Villa Torlonia

Elegant villa housing exhibits of past resident, Mussolini, with an art museum in its formal garden Inside Villa Torlonia, there are two historic buildings intended for museums: the nineteenth-century Casino Nobile, which houses the Museum of the Villa and the collection of works of the Roman School, and the Museum of the Casina delle Civette, dedicated to artistic stained glass. The Casino dei Principi is home to the Archive of the Roman School and hosts temporary exhibitions.

After a restoration by the Municipality of Rome, Department of Cultural Policies Superintendence of Cultural Heritage finally Villa Torlonia, with its history, its thousand corners and an undisputed charm, is returned to citizens and tourists, who can thus visit the nineteenth-century Casino Nobile, home of the Museum of the Villa and the collection of works of the Roman School, the Casino dei Principi, home to exhibitions and the Archive of the Roman School, the Museum of the Casina delle Civette and the gardens also subjected to restoration by the Department of Environmental and Agricultural Policies.
