Musée Bargoin, Clermont-Ferrand, France

A neoclassical building inaugurated in 1903 in the heart of the city, the Bargoin Museum offers particularly rich and original collections.

The ground floor of the museum is dedicated to the Archeology department. The course traces the history of Arverne territory from prehistory to the Gallo-Roman era. The ex-voto room is temporarily closed the room (reopening in 2019).

On the floors, the Textile Arts department invites the visitor to a unique journey thanks to a unique collection in France of extra-European textiles from the 18th to the 21st century.
