At Mural Farmhouse (1 Michelin Star and 1 Green Star for Fine Dining & 1 Green Star for à la carte), part of the “Team Mural” by Moritz Meyn & Wolfgang Hingerl, this philosophy is thoroughly cooked, served, and lived.

Whether à la carte or in the tasting menu, in the deli, the bar, or on the rooftop terrace—all these outlets form the Mural Farmhouse under (and on) the roof of the WunderLocke Hotel in Munich Obersendling.

Flavor-oriented purism is brought to the plates by Chef Maximilian Huber and Executive Chef Timo Fritsche, with dishes dictated by what nature literally provides on the doorstep:
Vegetables, fruits, and herbs are sourced, wherever possible, from the Mural Farmhouse rooftop garden with around 1000 square meters of modern raised beds. These ingredients are complemented by produce from local Munich growers. Meat and fish come from regional lakes and pastures as close to Mural Farmhouse as possible—from small farms that raise their breeds in the traditional way.

Despite shifts in kitchen leadership, the steadfast dedication to an entirely sustainable farm-to-table ethos remains the cornerstone of this establishment. Under the guidance of executive chef Timo Fritsche and head chef Maximilian Huber, locally sourced ingredients take center stage, with a commitment to utilizing them in their entirety, including house-made fermentations and pickles.

Their inventive set menu showcases this philosophy, marrying perfectly cooked, tender salmon trout from Schliersee with a robust hay beurre blanc infused with tarragon butter, resulting in a dish bursting with flavor. The wine list boasts an extensive selection of organic and biodynamic wines to complement the cuisine. Nestled within the WunderLocke hotel in Sendling, À LA CARTE and FINE DINE offer a chic and trendy dual dining experience. Notably, its sister restaurant is the acclaimed mural, recognized with a coveted MICHELIN star.
