Mshkavank Monastery, Armenia 

Mshkavank is 13c. Armenian monastery complex, which is located close to the Koghb village, on a high plateau, surrounded by a forest. There, St.Astvatzatzin church was preserved, with an entry from the west. The exact construction date is not known, but in 1219 it was found to be a completely erected structure. The church’s main section is a square hall, covered with a semi-cylindered section.

At the eastern facade above the window, there is a unique cross, above which the bull’s head is pictured. Only from the west there is an entrance to the vestibule, with the additional space. This added area, is separated from the square part of the entry with twin circular columns. The western entrance is decorated with colorful shaped circular ribbon stones. The Mshkavank complex is rich with cross-stones and inscriptions. There is a cemetery around the complex.
