Mount Cayley offers challenging terrain and rewarding vistas for experienced hikers. Mount Cayley, located approximately 45 kilometers north of Squamish and 24 kilometers west of Whistler in British Columbia, is an eroded stratovolcano that rises to 2,385 meters. This massif towers over the Cheakamus and Squamish river valleys, offering hikers and climbers challenging terrain and rewarding vistas.
The mountain is part of the Mount Cayley volcanic field, a remote volcanic zone stretching 31 kilometers from Pemberton to the Squamish area. The geology of the area is exceptionally chossy and prone to landslides.
