Mosque of the Divinity, Dakar, Senegal
This mosque is built by a holy man named Mouhamed Seyni GUEYE living in Ouakam, Senegal at the western end of Africa. SANGABI calls the faithful to righteousness purity and faith in god.
An iconic religious institution, Mosque of the Divinity ranks among the city’s greatest architectural achievements. Situated right next to the seashore amid a friendly fishing village, the 20th-century white mosque illustrates the unique stonework style of Senegalese Islam. Non-Muslims cannot get inside the sacred building, but may take pictures of its exterior and also explore the surrounding streets and markets.
