Morro Da Guarita, Torres, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil

The State Park of Guarita was created in 1971 through the efforts of several local environmentalists seeking to protect this geological scenery of great environmental and landscape value. This place also has great cultural and economic importance, being a reference in the local environmental leisure and receiving annually approximately 30,000 visitors.

Since 1996, the Guarita State Park, then managed by SETUR / RS, has been administered by the Municipal Secretariat of Environment and Urbanism (SMAURB), an environmental agency of the Municipality of Torres, through a concession of use.
