Moritzburg Castle, Moritzburg, Germany

Moritzburg Castle or Moritzburg Palace is a Baroque palace in Moritzburg, in the German state of Saxony, about 13 kilometres northwest of the Saxon capital, Dresden. Duke Moritz of Saxony had this hunting castle built in the style of the Renaissance in 1542 in the wild Friedewald on a granite dome. Soon this castle, which later became the Duke’s name, was at the center of the Saxon hunting society.
